Belarus’s president has said Britain can “choke” on sanctions, in a rare televised press conference.
The UK and US are tightening sanctions on Belarus, hitting economic sectors.
When asked by the BBC about the latest British measures, President Alexander Lukashenko said: “You can go choke on your sanctions… You are American lapdogs!”
